About the 2011 Celebrity Expression Session National Greenscape Challenge Contest |

What does landscaping have to do with the ocean? Urban runoff is often the primary source of ocean pollution. Everyone wants a beautiful yard to enjoy, but more often than not, that means excessive watering, and the use of fertilizers to keep lawns looking green.
However, landscaping can be beautiful, resourceful, wildlife-friendly and prevent runoff by applying three techniques known as “CPR” - Conservation, Permeability and Retention - which can revive our watersheds and help beautify our oceans. Beginning Monday June 27th email photos and a brief description to greenscapechallenge@calibamboo.com describing your green landscape project. Entries must be completed and received by Sunday July 31. Finalists will be reviewed by a panel of Greenscaping experts and the winners will be announced on Monday August 8. |

Contest open to all U.S. citizens, 21 and older. Identification must be produced on request. Employees of Cali Bamboo, its contest sponsor, advertising and promotional agencies and their respective affiliates and associates and such employees' immediate family members and persons with whom such employees are domiciled are excluded from this contest. Grand prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded. By claiming the prize, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium which Cali Bamboo may deem appropriate. In accepting the prize, the winner, and any guest(s), acknowledges that Cali Bamboo may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using this prize(s). Any green landscape or garden project qualifies regardless of cost, material choice, or supplier. Finalists will be chosen by Cali Bamboo staff based on creativity and most environmental impact. Winners will be chosen by a panel of Surfrider Ocean Friendly Garden experts by August 8. |
