Back in April of last year I had decided that for my Sister's wedding gift I was going to build them a Tiki Bar in their back patio area, and would build it without them knowing while they were out on their honeymoon. After visiting and comparing a bunch of different websites I decided to order everything I needed from CaliBamboo, hence where I got your email from.

Right after submitting an quote online you called and helped make sure I ordered everything I needed. I remember ending our call by saying that I would send in pictures of the before and after, as you can tell I completely forgot to, I guess better late than never. Attached within this email I have the before and after pictures from the project that I promised you. Needless to say, they were really surprised and love it! We built the whole thing in just under 2 days, and I'm still amazed at how freakin' awesome it come out.

Just wanted you to know how much we are enjoying the completion of a 2-year update to our pool patio featuring your beautiful bamboo. Even though we installed the bamboo over the course of 2 years, with a cold and snowy winter in-between, you can't tell the difference in the product from 06 to the newest pieces installed in 07. Thanks for your assistance with installation tips ands and product finishes for preserving the color. This was one of the easiest home improvement projects we've done. Some of the bamboo fencing was built in your picture frame format and some was attached to existing cyclone fence.

The delivery was earlier than what you speculated which was great. We just started unrolling the bamboo onto the fence posts and all the neighbors just love it. When we told them about our plan they weren't sure but after seeing the panels up they really like it. We will send a picture when all is complete. A competitor said I should buy his/her fence that cost twice as much because your design would burst at our cold temperatures, but since I couldn't afford their fence, I went with yours. We love our new bamboo fence. I completed installation this past weekend. Installation was straightforward. Thanks to Seth who gave me invaluable information on the phone at the time of my order. I wanted to share the results. You have a great product.

Attached are some photos of the finished bamboo screen project adjacent to our patio. Used to have a small pond there, but the vegetation, frogs, and maintenance got out of hand. It was a mess. So I laid things out differently, using a fountain this time, and the bamboo as a background screen. Simple, but effective I think.

It was a one man job. I used the two rolls, one on either side, for a little extra privacy from neighbors. P.T. fence posts were imbedded in concrete, and white vinyl post jackets were slipped over and secured to the posts. I used two 2x4s as rails, one at top and one at bottom, and painted them Hunter Green to blend with the bamboo. On each side of the bottom rail, along the entire length, I screwed in 3/4"x3/4" angle iron (painted green also) on which to rest the bamboo to keep it level. Deck screws were used to secure the bamboo as your website described. After pouring a 4" concrete pad to support the cement fountain and adding sod and stone, the job was done. The angle iron trick not only keeps the 'boo from sagging, but it made it easier for installation. Once the first couple of screws were in it was easier to just unroll the bamboo and set it on the "ledge" about two to three feet at a time.

Thanks for a good product. As you can see from one of the photos, beyond and to the left of the bamboo panel the neighbor's house can be seen between some existing trees. But I can't get any bushes to grow there to close it up because it's always shaded. That is where I was considering placing another green bamboo screen. The two oughta compliment each other well.

I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with our new fence and say thank you to Seth for being so helpful. We spent a few years trying to decide what kind of fence we wanted to do. After getting several outrageous quotes for a custom design we resigned ourselves to the fact that a cheap dogear redwood fence was all we could afford. Seeing just how bad the 75 foot run turned out we knew we had to do something different. Luckily I found your website and we covered the new fence with your bamboo and now have the custom look we were going for originally and at less than half the cost. I've attached some pictures so please feel free to use them if you need some more examples.
