This dream decking is the answer to all your concerns.

Building and maintaining a new deck may seem like a daunting undertaking, but it doesn’t have to be. That’s especially true if you opt for a product that’s made for the DIYer — the weekend warrior who’s willing to make smart home improvements, but doesn’t want to dedicate their lives to tedious upkeep. Fortunately, for every decking concern, there’s a solution in the form of quality composite material brought to you by Cali Decking.
Common Decking Fears
How Cali Decking
Saves the Day
Complicated installation
Unless you’re a seasoned pro, adding a new deck can seem like a daunting task with tons of planning, coding, and power tools to consider.

DIY hidden fastening system
All Cali Decking is easy to cut and can be installed with a simple-to-use set of clips that are attached between deck boards so they can’t be seen.
Constant/expensive upkeep
Traditional wood decks require consistent repair, refinishing, and sealing to keep them protected from the elements.

Never needs staining/sealing
A protective wrap shield means you never have to spend a weekend doing tedious deck maintenance to keep it looking great.
Termite attacks
These pesky critters can cause serious structural damage to traditional wood decks and are expensive to get rid of.

Naturally termite resistant
Cali Decking uses 40% recycled HDPE plastic, which termites can’t digest, keeping your deck safe, strong, and unchewed.
Splinters
Ouch! There’s nothing worse than stepping outside barefoot and getting stuck! Even worse when you have to worry about kids and family members.

Planks never splinter
Go barefoot and let the kids play outside without fear! Composite decking uses 60% reclaimed wood powder which is splinter-free.
Sun/snow damage
Seasonal extremes are hard to avoid in most parts of the nation, and constant sealing is an inevitable part of maintaining a traditional wood deck.

Protected by full wrap shield
Imagine just being able to enjoy your deck all year-round without having to worry about heavy scratches or damage from the elements!
Requires lots of lumber
Building a traditional wood deck requires timber from trees that have to be chopped down and often take 30 years to grow back.

Hi
I am finishing up a 2000 sft deck with Denali. I am considering the wider boards to replace the wood on our pier. How would the product hold up for this purpose. Thank you.
Perfectly suited for a pier application, just make sure your joists are 16 inches on center or less.
can your composite decking be put over boards on the deck the are in need of painting and would rather cover with a product like yours is it possible for a diy project
Hi Dick,
As long as the deck surface is flat, level and structurally sound you can install the boards on top, but we recommend removing the existing boards.
How should stairs be attached using the solid boards?

I want to build a deck for an outdoor soaking tub along the back of my house. I have my heart set on a vintage cast iron clawfoot tub, which is a very heavy piece, around 400# empty. Filled with water and 1-2 bathing people, this weight could easily be over 1000# distributed through the 4 feet over a relatively small footprint (about 6′ x 3′). Do you have a “pounds per square foot” rating on your composite decking products? What is your opinion on if the Cali composite decking products could handle that type of weight without warping, or should a separate concrete/stone/paver space be included in the design, surrounded by decking material, to accomodate the heavy weight of the tub? Thank you
Hi!
We are currently updating our pool area and we have a section of concrete that we would like to cover by building a deck – we saw your truorganics product and are very interested in using that product. HOWEVER, we live in SE Arizona in what they consider high desert. Even though we do not get as hot as Phoenix, we do still get 10 months of direct sun/heat. Where the deck would be would get maybe some shade after early afternoon. So of course, we are concerned with how well the Cali composite decking products would stand up to this type of weather. Plus the heat factor on the planks themselves. Any thoughts?
Hi Vicki,
I grew up in AZ so I know the heat. If I were you I’d only consider very light colors of decking (regardless of brand) like white or very light gray. Our Glacier color is very light in color and stays cooler in direct sun than darker colors. Trueorganics is a good choice, but if you’re installing over concrete, there needs to be space and airflow (4 inches minimum) between a concrete pad and composite decking otherwise any product will get excessively hot and fail.
Hi,
We recently had a contractor build a 700 square foot deck using TruOrganics glacier. Unfortunately, there is some black staining in parts where the workers placed large sections of fiberboard in order to protect the deck while replacing house siding. The fiberboard had some black ink like design that has permeated and stained some boards. I have tried removing using soap, water and a soft brush to no avail. The contractor wants to try power washing. Any suggestions? Thanks
Hi Karen,
I forwarded your question to our support team, someone should be contacting you.

can I buy this composite deck boards locally in tallahassee fl…?
Hi Richard,
Our decking and flooring shipped via freight to your curb. We have a warehouse in South Carolina so it should only take 2-3 days to arrive. Give us a call at 1(888)788-2254 for pricing and a free project estimate.
Best,
I ordered 2000 Sq ft of decking. what is weightone box I believe 2 pieces of 16×5 truorganics decking?
unfortunately can’t deliver to door have to rent trailer get it from abf terminal to house…
Hi Patrick,
Gonna big a big deck! Each package of 2 planks weighs 57 pounds. That’s 8000 pounds!
I asked last week about the best way to lay the deck flooring. We are buying the Denali and we have a 56ft x 12ft deck. Should we lay decking from long end to long end and if yes what we be the best combination to stagger the boards. We ordered all 16ft x 8in decking. Or should we lay the floor from wall to railing going all the way across with 12ft pieces. Any suggestions would be most helpfule.
Hi Connie,
I replied but maybe you didn’t see it. I went ahead and emailed you directly.
Best,
Are end caps required on all end cuts of the TruOrganics deck boards? Is there another way to plug the end holes to prevent wasps or water or other intrusions? The decking is quite beautiful but the end cap system is not well done.
Hi Brett,
The end caps are only for looks and are not required. We recently had our decking retested for moisture absorption and the numbers are comforting:
BamDeck 4G = 0.27%
TruOrganics = 0.65%
Is it slippery when?
When wet? I believe BamDeck slightly outperforms TruOrganics but both comply with ADA requirements. Here’s the slip test results for both:

Changing deck on a Mardi Gras float. 12’ wide and 50’ long. We have 4 metal braces running long ways about 4’apart.
Will we need to add more braces for this type composite.
Hi Ronald,
We require joists every 16 inches.
Do you have a video that shows wow to install the hidden fastening clips on Cali decking ?
Hi Pedro,
We’ve changed clips a few times so they may not look like the ones in this video, but the concept is the same.
Looking for flooring that can go for an outdoor porch over cement. The porch has a roof with no enclosure. I am a disabled veteran so my resources are limited. I need the most affordable price. Thank You.
Hi Shelia,
We do have an active and retired military discount. Give us a call and a rep may be able to suggest other ways you can save. What is the subfloor of the outdoor space? Were you thinking of a composite decking material or something more like indoor flooring?
How much space is created by the fasteners between deck boards. The amount of space for drainage?
It can vary slightly from plank to plank but generally between 1/8″ to 1/4″.
Hi,
Is it possible to replace old deck floor with Cali?
Hi Lata,
Help me understand your question. It sounds like you have a deck and the boards need replacement? If this is the case, then yes, you can replace old deck boards with any of our composite decking products as long as your joists (support beams underneath) are 16 inches apart or less.
can the existing wood deck be covered with composite
Hi Rebecca,
It can, but it’s usually not recommended as old deck boards tend to be warped, damaged and not perfectly flat.
I have researched all the composite decking and I am most impressed with Cali Bamboo. One question is why expert reviews on line don’t mention Cali Bamboo as one of their top picks. Also, I live in Maine. How easy is it to ship to Maine and at what cost?
Hi Steve,
While we feel we have a superior product compared to the big names in composite decking, we are still working hard to get our products noticed and on the radar of industry experts. If you know any we need to send some samples to, by all means let me know.
We ship nationwide to your curb, and to get product to Maine is likely 3-5 days from the date your order is placed. If you’re a DIYer or you already have a contractor you can call us and order direct, otherwise, you can purchase at your local Lowe’s store and they can connect you with a local installer.
Regardless of where you plan to purchase, you can give us a call and we’re happy to answer any questions you may have and get you a project estimate or free samples.

What’s the cost pure running foot?
Please give us a call and we can explain the linear foot cost, it gets a little tricky with wide plank decking as it covers much more area.
This all sounds good “but” I am looking for something that is water proof. I have double porches. Top porch is covered, bottom porch is partially open and half is a sunporch.
Hi Chyrel,
All of our composite decking is warranted for 25 years with full exposure, sun, rain, snow. Since all composites contain some percentage of wood material, they’ll never be completely waterproof. The most water resistant composite decking is “wrapped” in a thin layer of mostly plastic, but avoid the ones with a partial wrap, they typically have a wrap on the top but the sides and bottom are left exposed.
