Cali Bamboo Introduces New Sustainable Flooring

SAN DIEGO, CA — August 19, 2016 — Cali Bamboo is honoring the change of seasons with the introduction of two brand-new, sustainable flooring offerings: Sandalwood cork, as an extension of the GreenClaimed® Inspired™ Wide+ Cork Flooring line, and a click-lock variant of the popular Cognac Fossilized® bamboo flooring.  

Cali Bamboo launched the GreenClaimed® Inspired™ Wide+ Cork Flooring line in fall of last year with dynamic success due to its proprietary Ceramic Shield technology, 3D wood texture print, and orthopedic comfort. This flooring line mimics the look and feel of reclaimed hardwood, but with the flexibility and eco-friendly benefits of cork as a rapidly-renewable material.

The new Sandalwood cork adds a softer touch to the existing Inspired™ Cork Flooring line, which currently consists of Driftwood and Silverwood. Sandalwood’s delicate rose-gold hue and fine-grained pattern are a conscious nod to India’s most popular timber and its subtle but unmistakably soothing aroma.

Each Inspired™ Cork flooring plank is extra-wide, measuring in at 7 and 1/4 inches for modern appeal. This line is particularly alluring to DIY-ers, with the benefits of its unique click-lock system for a readily floated floor and fast installation. The GreenClaimed® Inspired™ Wide+ Cork flooring line additionally utilizes Cali Bamboo’s proprietary Ceramic Shield Technology to significantly reduce the appearance of scratches, scuff marks, and rough spots. As a naturally mold and water-resistant material, cork is the ideal solution for rooms prone to moisture, such as kitchens and bathrooms. Like all Cali Bamboo floors, Inspired™ Cork flooring is ultra-low VOC.

In addition to the new Sandalwood color variation for Cali Bamboo’s Inspired™ Cork flooring line, the popular Cognac Fossilized® bamboo flooring is now available in click-lock format. Noteworthy demand for this “intoxicating, full-bodied floor” led to the development of this installation variant for ease of installation.
