Cali Bamboo Sponsors Golf Tournament for PMP Research

The PMP Warrior Foundation is a non profit organization whose goal is to raise funds and increase awareness of an extremely rare cancer called Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP). There are approximately 1 in 1 million cancer patients diagnosed with this disease every year. Research funding is very limited as is the knowledge of the disease among physicians around the world. When our owner’s friend Matt was diagnosed with Appendix cancer in 2005, he fought back and even competed in a few triathlons. Unfortunately in 2009, the cancer came back as PMP and today, Matt’s still fighting back. This year Cali Bamboo is sponsoring the PMP Warrior Golf Tournament on November 20th.

Cali Bamboo’s Barbara Reno walks in her 5th 3-Day

We all know Barbara as Cali’s accounting and HR ultimate multi-tasker, but each November she takes to the streets walking 60 miles over 3 days in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day. Over the years, Barbara estimates raising over $12,000 for the foundation’s fight against breast cancer. She walks for her mom who is a 16 year survivor, and in memory of several close friends taken too soon by the disease.

Cali Bamboo Grows a Moustache for Men’s Health

It’s halfway through the month formerly known as November and our upper lips are just getting past that itchy stage. Come join us on November 21st at our 2nd annual Movember party. Celebrate the ‘stache while fundraising for prostate cancer research.
