Cali Bamboo Interviews Sprout Tiny Homes
We love our customers, and we love telling their stories! We recently sat down with Diane of Sprout Tiny Homes to talk more about why they’ve used Cali Bamboo products over and over. Here’s what she had to say:
Q: How would you describe your business?
A: Sprout Tiny Homes is a leading designer, manufacturer and developer of tiny homes and affordable live-work communities. The company is owned by Rod Stambaugh, and has recruited a dedicated staff of employees who work together to produce our high end, chemical free homes. Sprout’s Production Manager has 20 years of experience in building custom homes and commercial buildings, and has now turned his expertise to building tiny. Working with him are specialists in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. All staff members work together to do whatever it takes to produce a quality tiny home. We manufacture tiny homes on wheels up to 290 sq. ft. and homes that are secured to traditional foundations with up to 760 sq. ft. of living space.
Q: What key features make your homes “green”?
A: Our homes are built with structural insulated panels (“SIP’s”) resulting in stronger, greener and straighter homes that are highly energy efficient. These homes also feature chemical free interiors to encourage healthy lifestyles. Because we use sustainable building materials where possible, we’ve been able to push the boundaries of design and energy efficiency – which are key attributes of Sprout homes.
Q: What led you to Cali Bamboo?
A: Cali Bamboo appeared on our radar after searching for flooring that meets the qualification of being chemical free and made from a sustainable product. We were excited to receive the large box of samples they sent after we inquired about their product.
Q: How would you describe your experience with Cali Bamboo?
A: We have installed Cali Bamboo floors in three tiny homes to date and a fourth is in the build process right now. This latest one is my favorite (and I’ll probably say that each time we start a new one!). We are using the tiger bamboo flooring, which I thought might be a bit busy. Being about half way through the build and seeing the other components going into the home, I think it will actually be the “tie that binds,” bringing together the different finishes into a wonderful design. We are as impressed with the service as we are with the product, from the Jen in the Marketing Department, to our Sales Professional, Art. Ordering is easy and delivery is quick.
