Cali Bamboo Partners with Habitat to Build Boys and Girls Club Dance Studio
Cali Bamboo has long partnered with Habitat for Humanity to improve living conditions around the U.S., but this project hit close to home! A mere 30-minute drive from headquarters, Imperial Beach is well known to native southern Californians, and has some of the highest poverty rates in the entire state.
When Habitat for Humanity reached out with an urgent need for sustainable flooring, Cali Bamboo came to the rescue — turning around 800 square feet of our Natural Fossilized® Eucalyptus flooring on a virtual dime! The floors were delivered just in time to properly acclimate and be ready for installation May 5-7th.
In addition to renovating the Boys and Girls club, Habitat repaired four other homes in Imperial Beach, and used the opportunity to educate female volunteers for the “Women Build” initiative. Over 300 people participated in this project, which was a huge success!
As always, we are proud to stand behind this organization and support their mission to build homes, communities, and hope. We look forward to many more!
