1st Place Winner – Todd and his wife from Northern California love to entertain, but don’t like dragging out all of their barware from the cupboard every time they throw a party. Todd had the idea to build a bar with a lifting shelf section to have everything easily accessible but neatly tucked away when not in use, and he enlisted the help of his Dad who is a woodworker with a background in engineering to turn his crazy idea into reality. They built the bar with Marbled Fossilized® bamboo plywood, utilizing two heavy-duty, computer-controlled lifts to raise and lower the shelf smoothly and effortlessly. “My Dad and I had a great time on this project. The bamboo was a blast to work with and made all the difference,” says Todd. Now the only question is: “shaken, or stirred?”

2nd Place Winner – Brian’s Frederick, Maryland townhouse looks ultra sleek and modern with Vintage Moonlight Fossilized® bamboo flooring. “We really feel that the flooring sets our house apart from all of the other cookie cutters out there and makes it unique to our style,” says Brian. “We can’t say enough great things about Cali Bamboo and it’s people!”

3rd Place Winner – Tom brought the spirit of the Caribbean to his Ohio backyard with this fully-stocked tiki bar, made with bamboo paneling and palm thatch in addition to bamboo fencing and split bamboo poles in different diameters. “Now its on to the hard work… making the tiki drinks!” says Tom. “It takes almost as long and they are gone in hours… but at least I can continue to enjoy the bar!”
