Shade Structure

Next up, a simple makeover for the shade structure. (Jim) We want to add a little more shade, and we want to give you your tropical-ish feel. So what we’ve got is some palm leaf matting, and what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna roll it out across the top of your structure, and then we’re gonna staple it down. Brian, when you get a chance could you turn my pressure down? (Other guy) Is there anything else we want Brian to do since he’s shooting and – (Lady) Good job Brian! (Announcer) The matting is attached with one-inch stainless steel staples driven into each board. So far, the crew is moving fast. Erin’s bistro table is well underway, the waterfall is coming together, and Amet’s plants just arrived. (Man) You guys want to see a beautiful tropical-ish plant-scape? (Other guy) That’s a heck of a lotta plants. (Announcer) The roof’s done, so Jim and Michelle move onto the bar, adding the same matting all the way around. (Jim) What we’re gonna do is we’re gonna trim this out with a 1×2 and we’re gonna put this right across here. (Lady) Oh, ok. Oh! That’ll look good! (Jim) We’re gonna sandwich this is here so it’ll hold it tight.
