Giving back has always been part of the Cali culture. We also tend to find ways to have fun while doing it, whether it’s team-building at a Habitat for Humanity construction site, enjoying a beach day during a Surfrider Foundation clean-up, or hosting a little friendly office competition for a local food drive.

The latter was recently held to benefit the San Diego Food Bank and San Diegans in need this holiday season. Team Cali grouped off according to various channels and departments, and over the course of one week filled ten 200-pound barrels full of food… plus a little more. At the end of the week, San Diego Food Bank picked up the goods and tallied everything to reveal the Cali drive brought in 2,793 pounds of food, which will allow them to provide about 2,328 meals. This goes toward emergency food services to the 370,000 children and families, active duty military, and fixed income seniors living in poverty each month. A special shout-out to the Cali Customer Experience team who swept the competition in the final hours!
