Revolutionary engineered construction layers real European oak over a waterproof limestone composite core, delivering easy-to-install, worry-free hardwood flooring.
Cali has added new European oak styles to its popular GeoWood flooring line. GeoWood combines real timber layered over waterproof GeoCore — Cali’s stabilizing SPC limestone composite foundation. This technological breakthrough yields rock solid hardwood flooring with exceptional AquaDefy water resistance and a rapid click-lock installation system.
The seven new European oak floors are now available for purchase along with the four original bamboo styles at www.calibamboo.com/geowood-flooring.
What is GeoWood?
Remarking on the new floors, Cali President and CEO, Doug Jackson says, “This launch marks Cali’s first venture into oak hardwood. We’re going beyond bamboo, but remain committed to delivering the smartest and most sustainable options on the market. Our product design team went the distance to create flooring that is sourced, cut, and stained to perfection but still makes for an easy and economical installation.”
Real Hardwood Floors for Real Life
Perfect for homeowners or those looking to install quickly and efficiently, GeoWood puts real hardwood flooring within reach. The seven new floors feature a 1.2mm thick beauty layer of genuine European white oak in newly expanded 74-13/16” long, 7-15/32” wide planks. Premium slicing, wire-brushing, and reactive staining brings out the wood’s natural character, highlighting its knots, rays, and bold oak grain.
The Secret is GeoCore
Like the foundation of a building, a floor is only as strong as its core. This proprietary limestone composite is 100% waterproof and strengthens each GeoWood plank. GeoCore’s composition also translates to 50% better dimensional stability, resulting in less expansion and contraction, and as little as 24 hours of acclimation required before laying down planks. The new oak styles also debut Companion Core technology, wherein the GeoCore spine is color coordinated to complement the wood on the surface. This feature is an industry first and makes seams more seamless for more natural looking installations.
The Water-Resistant Wood Floor
AquaDefy technology ensures diehard moisture protection, making GeoWood perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, and below-grade spaces like basements. Superior water resistance also makes planks easier to clean and keep looking like new.
Made to Withstand it All
Shielded by a 7-coat water-based aluminum oxide finish, GeoWood oak planks are protected from real life. Flooring is backed by a 50-year residential warranty and a 15-year light commercial warranty — double the industry standard. A 2mm thick built-in antibacterial IXPE pad lines the bottom of each oak plank, improving sound insulation.
The Easiest Hardwood Installation
Lightweight, easy-to-cut planks with a precise click-lock milling system make GeoWood installations close to effortless. Flooring can be floated or glued down over any type of even subfloor and pairs perfectly with Cali Complete All-in-One Underlayment. Better dimensional stability also means acclimation can be cut down to just 1-2 days so projects start and end faster.
Healthy for the Planet and Your Home
GeoWood features sustainably farmed bamboo and oak lumber from Lacey Act Compliant managed forests. Trees are cut selectively based on their individual size, age, and level of maturity, and new trees are then planted in their place. All flooring is FloorScore certified and ultra low VOC, making them safe for the home.
