Cali Bamboo®, a leading manufacturer of green building materials made primarily out of bamboo, today introduces BamDeck® 3G Composite Decking with integrated CoreMax™ Technology. This new generation of decking features a Wide Plank line that is 50% wider and the first of its kind in the composite decking industry. BamDeck 3G Wide Plank offers a new contemporary look that also installs 30% faster than standard deck boards.

The new third generation BamDeck® takes full advantage of its proven composition formulated of 60% reclaimed bamboo fibers and 40% recycled HDPE plastics such as detergent and milk cartons. The combination of ultra strong bamboo fibers and long lasting durable plastics give rise to a new hybrid material unparalleled in strength, durability, and aesthetic appeal which led to the development of CoreMax™ Technology, not possible with most other composite compositions.

Borrowing from Mother Nature’s brilliant design of bamboo, CoreMax™ Technology implements specially engineered cylindrical chambers that run the length of each board and provide 35% more tensile strength while reducing overall weight by 20%. This new design has tested three times as strong as other composite decking while maintaining industry leading durability and longevity for residential and commercial projects alike.

BamDeck® 3G Composite is termite resistant, time tested, LEED qualified and priced competitively to other composite decking options. It’s available for purchase nationwide and comes with a 10-year commercial and 25-year residential warranty. The decking is offered in standard and wide plank in three colors, including caramel, coffee and slate. Both plank sizes are reversible, interchangeable, and use a hidden fastening system for easy installation.
